The 501c3
A 501c3 is organization is a religious corporation that belongs to and is ruled by "the state"
501c3 churches sign a waiver to forfeit their 1st amendment freedom of speech rights, and therefore are legally and honor-bound by their oath to not preach the entire Word of God.
I'm not here to bash the church body itself, but I'm here to let you know that many churches have not read the complete tax exempt form or they would have seen that the state has the power to close them down if they preach on politics, homosexuality etc. Your 501c3 paperwork says so. Don't believe it go to the IRS site and see for your self. You can also go to one of the resourses I found at www.hushmoney.org
Finding a bible believing church
I am the first to say that it is very difficult to find a sound doctrine bible teaching church or home fellowship, I've been trying for the last seven years. It has been wearing me down and with much prayer I finally gave it over to God and asked Him not my will but your will be done. My suggestions to those who are searching:
1. Keep praying
2. If you find one you are comfortable with do His work and be content
3. Try home bible teaching groups.
4. Be sure that's where God is planting you.
5. Don't compromise, watch and pray
I'm still waiting on the Lord, I live in New Jersey so if you find a solid bible teaching fellowship, let me know.
Tax exempt
A few points we should consider. Note that the church is already exempt because they cannot be recognized as a legal entity.
1. No law exists that require anyone to file a federal income tax form
2. Christ's Church is not a legally recognized entity, so it is already tax exempt.
3. Enticing to give via tax write-offs is not Biblical giving.

If you are in a bible teaching believing church by all means stay there. Keep your focus on Christ and His Word, you should always stay assembled with believers that Love God and want to please Him only. Hebrews 10:25 "Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together, as is the habit of some people, admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging)one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching" AMP.
